Edan discovered his home in the realm of sound through a background in film making, computer music, and gaming. With emphasis on experimentation, improvisation, and collaboration, Edan has developed a unique creative workflow that provokes strong relationships between sound and image. Born and raised in Los Angeles California, Edan holds a BA from UC Santa Cruz in Film & Digital Media. While a film student in Santa Cruz, Edan discovered the rich history of electronic music that developed in the San Francisco bay area, which led him to Mills College, where he received an MFA in Electronic Music and Recording Media.
Edan relocated to Tokyo in 2014, where he continues to work for film, documentaries, and TV including VICE on HBO, National Geographic, Nike, Apple, Red Bull and more. When not recording the sounds of Tokyo, Edan enjoys cooking, playing music, and catching waves.
